Terms of Reference

The Muskoka-Kawarthas Service System Manager (“Fleming SSM”) provides a program to create effective ways for job seekers and employers to access community-based employment services in the Muskoka-Kawarthas region. This program connects job seekers and employers to local employment services providers based on their locations. The program is administered by Fleming College (https://flemingemploymenthub.ca/about-us/).

This Privacy Notice (“Notice”) describes how Fleming SSM, as a Magnet Community Partner, uses and shares information that it receives from job seekers (“you”) through the Magnet Platform.

When you sign up for an account on the Magnet Platform through one of the Fleming SSM landing pages (or if you already have a Magnet account, when you log in through Fleming SSM landing pages), you are asked to consent to share your personal information with Fleming SSM and its network of local employment services providers who share Fleming’s Magnet Community Partner account (the “Local ESPs”) . This information is shared with Fleming SSM and the Locals ESPs as described in the Magnet Platform’s Privacy Policy.

The information that you consent to share with Fleming SSM and the Local ESPs includes contact information such as your name, your email address and your phone number; information in your Magnet Platform profile; and information about the job invitations you receive on the Magnet Platform and the applications you make to jobs. For more details about information that is shared with Fleming SSM and the Local ESPs when you consent to share information, please see the description of information sharing with Magnet Community Partners in the Magnet Platform’s Privacy Policy.

Fleming SSM and the Local ESPs will access the information that you share through the Magnet Platform in order to gather information on matched job postings, job search activities, information accessed in the Resource Centre and courses completed within the Learning Centre. This information will be accessed to allow Local ESP’s to assist clients with targeted job search activities and view aggregate data on labour market activity in their region.

Each Local ESP that you interact with directly due to your participation in the program has its own privacy policy or notice that will describe how it collects, uses, and discloses personal information about its clients.

Fleming SSM as program administrator may share information that it receives about you from the Magnet Platform with the Ministry of Labour, Training and Skills Development (MLTSD). Fleming College SSM is funded by the MLTSD, Government of Ontario. The information is shared with the funder for the purposes of regional planning and will include aggregate labour market activity data. There will be no personal identifying information shared with MLTSD through the Fleming SSM Magnet Platform.
